What is there not to like about chocolate and wine tasting, especially with friends.

I had the very great privilege of hosting a few of my online friends, Cheryl Therrien/Grandmother Diaries, Elizabeth Scott, Doreen Pendgracs/Wizard of Words and her friend Mary Ann Porter in my home. One of the things we did was visit a few wine regions to experience different wines with chocolate. We had an absolute blast.
Chocolate and Wine Tasting With Friends
Cheryl arrived on Sunday, and we spent time hanging out and then we headed off to see San Francisco. We spent the day hitting all the sites and enjoying an awesome lunch on Fisherman’s Wharf. The best part was we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Elizabeth arrived on Wednesday morning. The three of us were off to Old Town Sacramento to see the sites, shopping at a very cool stores. Then we went to pick up Doreen and her friend Mary Ann at the bus station later that day. With a dinner on the patio, it was like old home week for all of us. It was as if we had always known each other.
In the next few days, we spent time in the Napa, Sonoma, and Lodi wine regions. Our first stop was the Beringer Estate & Winery in Napa Valley for a wine and chocolate tasting.
Our next stop was the Meadowcroft Wines in Sonoma Valley for a cheese chocolate and wine tasting,
The next day we visited the Lodi wine region and the Mondavi’s Woodbridge Operation just the see it and to marvel at its size. And then we had a bit to eat.
After lunch, we were off to see my friends at Fields Family Wines where we discussed their thoughts about chocolate and wine pairings.
While we were out and about, there were plenty of cool little shops to see along the way.
It was all about wine and chocolate. Some had more chocolate than wine… LOL. It was a very busy few days full of wine, chocolate, fun, and laughter.
Then everyone left, and the house was quiet again. It was much too quiet. Time had flown by much too fast. All in all, it was an amazing time. I am so blessed to have these awesome online friends that are now friends in person. I can’t wait to have my friends back for more adventures.
Time for a bit of wine and that awesome Chocolate Doreen brought from Manitoba, Canada.
