Halloween Candy Corn Bark Candy: #Recipe

by Susan P. Cooper · on Oct 27, 2012 · 18

Candy Corn Bark Candy, findingourwaynow.comBecause it’s that time of the year, I decided to post a recipe for candy corn bark candy instead of my usual wine/winery review. While I was searching for fun recipes for Halloween, I happened on this candy corn bark candy recipe in my Betty Crocker Halloween Cookbook. Yep, it’s a fun and super easy recipe.

When it comes to bark candy the opportunities and variety to make different kinds and flavors are nothing short of endless.  This candy corn bark candy is a recipe that your kids (or grandkids) will have fun helping you make this.

 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups thin pretzel sticks broken into pieces
  • 2 1/2 cups candy corn

 Directions:

Line a baking sheet with parchment or Silpat and lightly coat with a little oil or with cooking spray. In large glass microwave bowl, microwave white chocolate chips on high for 30 seconds and stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 15-second increments until the white chocolate chips are melted and smooth. Stir in the pretzels pieces and candy corn (reserving 1/2 cup of candy corn for later). Spread the mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining candy corn over top and press in lightly. Let cool until set. Break into desired size pieces. Store in an airtight container.

You can also use white candy coating in place of the white chocolate chips. If you desire, you can substitute any variety of small Halloween type of candy you like. It all depends on what you like and your creativity.

Isn’t that fun? So put these ingredients on your grocery list and make a batch of this to share with family and friends on Halloween. You’ll have a good time making it, and they’ll certainly enjoy eating it. Enjoy.

Time to eat…
