I meet Sarah on Triberr. Yep, we’re Triberr and Tweeter buddies and love sharing our posts with our followers. We found that we both have fun cooking and posting recipes. So one thing lead to another and here we are sharing recipes on each others site. Sarah’s recipe is an awesome Chocolate Mousse Pie Recipe. After reading Sarah’s recipe, you can see the “Mini Creme Brûlée Pies Recipe” I shared on Sarah’s site called Sarah: Simply Me.
So now, let me let Sarah speak for herself and tell you about her amazing creation.
“Well, Hello there! My name is Sarah and my blog is Sarah: Simply Me. I am a wife, mother, and homemaker. I have 2 very adorable little boys, Noah and Jeremiah. They make up most of my activities and life. Which makes it truly memorable and interesting! Never a dull moment! Haha. I am married to a wonderful man, who just happens to be my best friend. That is always a good thing! Recently I found out we are expecting another little bundle. I am so looking forward to meeting him/her in March of 2013!!
I’ve been blogging for just over a year, and just celebrated that event in the best way I know how, with a blog post… LOL. When I embarked into the world of blogging, I didn’t have a clue what it really was. I just wanted to write, and enjoy a “space” of my own. It was like a new hobby, that was easy to clean up after, simple to do when you have kids, and a way to express my creativity. It was to be a little place of my own. The enjoyment I now get from blogging has far out weighed the negatives.
The best part of blogging are the wonderful new friends I’ve made such as Susan. We share a mutual love for family, food and cooking. So we decided it would be fun to swap recipes today, and oh my, hers is to DIE for and oh so yummy looking! You will simply have to check out the “Mini Creme Brûlée Pies Recipe” she made!
For my part of the swap, I decided on a simple chocolate mousse pie I’d been eying for the past few weeks. And it’s, no joke, a seriously simple recipe.
I think I might have to just make this mixture and forget the crust from time to time. I can also see using this mixture with strawberries or raspberries. It’s a fluffy, not too sweet, mixture that is extremely yummy!
Chocolate Mousse Pie
Ingredients:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, 1/2 cup heavy cream, and cocoa. Beat well until smooth and fluffy. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt and beat until smooth.
In medium bowl, beat 1 1/2 cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form; fold into chocolate cream cheese mixture.
Pour into cooled pie shell. Cover and chill until firm, 4-5 hours.”
WOW!!! Doesn’t that look and sound out of this world, and like she said, it’s seriously easy. You know how I feel about easy recipes and I do so love anything chocolate. So this is something I can’t wait to make.
I have so enjoyed getting to know Sarah through our blogging connections and I do hope you take a moment to leave a comment or two and let us know what you think. Oh and don’t forget to check out my “Mini Creme Brûlée Pies Recipe” on her site, as well. While you’re there, check out some the great things she has going on. It will be well worth your time.
Happy cooking…
PS: If you would like to share a recipe, send it my way. It would be fun to showcase one of your favorite dishes.
