A Paris Wedding Adventure

by Susan P. Cooper · on Jun 29, 2012 · 31

That’s right, I’m off on an adventure.  We will be flying to Paris to attend a wedding, to be exact.

Over the years, we have hosted many foreign exchange students. All of them hold a very special place in our hearts. The last one was from France. We have watched her grow into an amazing young woman who is now on the eve of her wedding. So I’m off to France for the wedding and to celebrate this amazing time in her life with her warm and gracious family.

By the time you read this, I will be over the Atlantic well on my way to Paris. I will be gone for two and half weeks. With my camera and iPad in tow, I will be recording all that we see and do. So rest assured, I will be sharing my experiences with you in a blog post or two.

I am so excited to be going on this trip, and the reason I’m going. I’m also excited to tell you that I will have three amazing blogger guest posts to share with you while I’m away.

As night falls while I am traveling to my destination, I will be thinking about all that life gives us when we are open to the wonders it has to offer.  There will always be times when it will feel like all is against us. All in all, life is a pretty wondrous thing.

I have gained so much insight about myself through my career, my family, my many friends, our foreign exchange students and lastly from my blogging and new blogger friends. As the sun rises, I will be realizing that life is truly a journey. That it’s not about the destination at all. It’s all about the adventures we have along the way.

Now the excitement will start building as we approach Paris and I know that this wonderful young woman and her fiancé will be there to greet us as we land. I will feel truly bless for so many things.

So I am now there hugging this amazing young woman and setting off for my adventure.

As I said, I will be away for a few weeks. While I’m away, I have three great  bloggers and friends who have graciously agreed to guest post for me. So who are these three amazing bloggers who are doing a guest post? And when will you see their posts? The answer to your question is:

  • Cheryl Therienn from Grandmother Diaries – “Lesson From My Roses“
  • Dan Meyers from Breakfree.me – “Sometimes You Have To Dance“
  • Bethany Lee – “Parking Lessons“

So, while I’m away, please enjoy these amazing guest posts. I will be there watching and commenting when I can while on my trip.

Now here is my question for you. What adventures do you have planned and what blessing do you think they will impart?

Life’s journey continues…
