Poca Lola Albarino is a wine I’d written about quite a while ago, and I found myself revisiting with a bottle in hand. I thought it would cool to revisit it with you as well. The fact that I love polka-dots (note the label) helped in my decision making to buy and enjoy this wine again… LOL.
Paco Lola Albarino
I am always finding myself at Cost Plus/World market for many different items. It also helps that I love to browse around the store. While there, the wine buyer recommended Paco Lola Albarino, a white wine she thought I might like to try. So into my basket it went.
The wine is Poco Lola Albarini. It is a very nice Spanish white wine from Adegas Rosalia de Castro winery of Rias Baixas wine region of Spain. It is no secret that I mostly enjoy a good red wine. Now and then I find a white wine that fits my taste. I prefer a white wine that is not too sweet and has a crisp, clean taste. The wine maker’s description was spot on, and you can’t beat the price.
This is what the winemaker has to say about their Paco Lola Albarino:
“Adegas Rosalia de Castra is a stylish and fun Albariño white wine. Adegas Rosalía de Castro is a brand new winery that was founded by a group of experienced winegrowers. These winegrowers strive for excellence by combining tradition with the latest wine technology. Located in the heart of the Salnés, Adegas Rosalía de Castro has more than 493 acres dedicated solely to growing Albariño.
Straw-colored yellow with green reflections, clean and very bright. Intense and elegant, its aromas bring to mind dew drenched fresh herbs and fine hints of green apples. Citric, with crisp floral notes on the finish. Light acidity gives it freshness with excellent mouthfeel.”
You can find this wine at wine.com, totalwine.com, bevmo.com, Cost Plus/World Market, wine.com, totalwine.com, amazon.com and many of your local wine purveyors.
When you have a chance, and you find a bottle of Paco Lola Albarino in your basket let me know what you think. Enjoy.
Time for a glass…
