I love finding good quality local wineries and their wines. A friend and wine buyer recommended I try a bottle or two of LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards Estate Grown Pinot Noir. I’ve always been a fan of a good Pinot Noir. My friend’s recommendation was very much appreciated. Once I tried it, I agreed, it was indeed a very nice wine.

To say that the Lange family has wine in their blood would be an understatement. The whole of the Lange family have been in the wine business, in some form or another, for well over five generations. It began when the first Lange descendants settled in Lodi, California and became watermelon farmers. By 1916, the family had become the first wine-grape growers in the area. As the family and business grew, they continued to acquire land and vineyards in various wine regions. This added to the family business’s capability to grow high-quality wine grapes.

By 2006, Brad and Randall Lange opened their first winery to showcase their passion for growing wine grapes and the craft of making good wine. Since opening their winery, they have continued to expand on their state-of-the-art winemaking. These improvements have helped them keep up with the demand for their wine and winemaking services. In keeping with that, they have opened a beautiful new public tasting room called the Press Room. These things have culminated into the LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards becoming the largest wine management company in the area.
The LangeTwins Winery owners never lost sight that great wine comes from great wine-grapes, using sustainable farming practices to accomplish that. Being mindful of the land that ensured their success, work is now underway to return part of their acreage back to its natural state. This project encompasses restoring 20 acres back to its natural habitat giving a sanctuary for native plants, birds, and wildlife. Yet another reason to give their wines a look.
This is what the winemaker has to say about their LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards Estate Grown Pinot Noir:
“A wine crafted with especially minimal handling, our Pinot Noir has layers of interest from beginning to end. Opening with an aroma of strawberry and spice, fruit flavors of dried strawberry merge with orange peel spice. French and American Oak aging give additional depth to the body and subtle tannins flow nicely into a silky finish.”
You can find this LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards Estate Grown Pinot Noir on their website. At times, you can find some of their wines on totalwine.com and wine.com.
The fact that LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards is very close to where I live is a very lucky thing indeed. Thier location makes it very convenient for me to buy this wine and to try the other varietals they have to offer. I now have this winery on my list of places to take anyone who happens to visit and wants to do some wine tasting. How cool is that?
Time for a glass…
