Barkies are one of my family’s favorite Christmas cookies. In fact, according to my mother, Sharon, we have been making them every year for 40+ years. Part of the reason we only make these at Christmastime is that almond bark is very difficult to find in many places except during the holidays. So if you are going to give them a try, you might want to do so soon!
I love cranberry sauce. However, I am not a big fan of store bought, so awhile back I went in search of a good recipe that I and my family would like. It took some experimenting to get the right taste before I arrived at this recipe. This is now the recipe I use every holiday and whenever I can get good cranberries. So here goes.
