Not terribly long ago I commented on a picture of some chocolate dipped spoons and noted how easy they were to make. Their reply was enthusiastic, asking if I would create a recipe and write about it. How could I not make them after that? These are the easiest things to make. Seriously, I mean it. The […]
I love this Fresh Mushroom Salad recipe. The fact is I love mushrooms in just about any form. It’s also an especially nice salad on a hot summer day. A few years back, while we were on a trip to France, we were served a fresh mushroom salad that I fell in love with. I ask for the recipe and how […]
I love olives in just about any form. Because of that, it was suggested that I add this Easy Marinated Garlic Olives to my blog. This Easy Marinated Garlic Olives recipe, as it is with most of the recipes I’ve showcased, is SUPER easy. It so easy that I call it my “add, shake and you’re done” […]
Summer is here, and the hot weather is prompting me to look for cool and refreshing recipes. So I went to my ragged manila file-folder for some ideas.

I know, Mother’s Day has come and gone, and you bought her a lovely gift, maybe some flowers, but why not do something a bit extra? Why not serve her breakfast in bed, maybe prepare a fabulous brunch, or better yet something special you’ve prepared just for that special woman in your life? Wouldn’t she love that? […]
I had made these Drunken Figs a very long time ago. What brought them to mind happened when I went looking for something, a bit different, to have as a sweet treat after dinner. I pulled out my jar of Drunken Figs and remembered I hadn’t yet shared this on my blog. When fresh figs […]
Why Old Fashioned Yeast Rolls? Let me explain. We were visiting our family last Thanksgiving, relishing in the fact that we weren’t responsible for the feast. While staying out of the way and witnessing all that was going on in the kitchen, I was fascinated as I watched my stepdaughter prepare these old-fashioned yeast rolls. It was […]
