On the 1st Day From My Kitchen, I give to you, my Rustic Apple Pear Tart Recipe. This is the time of year when we see some great apples and pears. Not far from where we live there is an apple festival called “Apple Hill” that goes from just after Labor Day to the end of December. As the name implies, it’s all about apples and the fall harvest. That is one of the many reasons I enjoy fall so much.
I love Halloween. For me, it is really a non-holiday that is all about fun. We get to dress up and pretend we are someone or something else, eat our favorite candy, ooh & ah over all the little ones who are in costume and, if we’re lucky, have trick or treaters come to our door on Halloween night.
