A lot of us in the U.S. will be making plans this month to get together with friends and loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving. In the spirit of gratitude I wanted to share some things that rekindle warmth and love in my heart with the hope it will do the same for you.
Don’t you love ghost stories? It’s October and Fall is officially here, as we begin to settle in and prepare for shorter days and colder nights. Soon, the trick-or-treaters will be donning scary costumes, carting around paper bags or pillow cases and scouring the neighborhoods, while looking for their bounty.
Here’s a little story I wrote Pat Ruppel, in reflection, as the sweet days of summer wound down and cooler nights were soon to come. “It had been a rough year having come through the loss of my mother-in-law, not to mention an outsourced job along with catastrophic statewide news. I guess you could say my heart wanted to feel happy and safe. What better way than to recapture some childhood moments.”
Life can be heavy at times, but it’s the light, fun, happy times we remember the most ― the people, places and events that warm our hearts and bring smiles to our faces. It doesn’t take much and a lot is not required to make you happy…
