Waterbrook Winery Malbec: #Wine

by Susan P. Cooper · on Mar 31, 2016 · 4

Waterbrook Winery Malbec, findingourwaynow.comWaterbrook Winery Malbec and their many other wines take me back to a time when I had the pleasure of sampling it with a very special dinner.

I was on a trip to Seattle to spend some time with my Sales Director and her sales team. We had planned a dinner at a fine restaurant to celebrate some of their most recent accomplishments. When everyone had selected their individual meals, I asked the sommelier for a wine recommendation. He reviewed our dinner selections, asked a few questions and then thought a moment. He then had me try a few wines he thought everyone in the group would appreciate. The wines he had me taste were from the Waterbrook Winery. The chosen wines were a Malbec and a buttery Chardonnay. That’s when I fell in love with this particular winery. Years later, I still clearly remember that wine and how it tasted.

Waterbrook Winery Malbec

Waterbrook Winery is located in the Walla Walla wine region of Washington State. They were established in 1984 and noted to have been one of the area’s pioneers in the wine industry. At that time, the Waterbrook founders were the fourth winery to be bonded in the region. An accomplishment worth noting is in their 30+ years of winemaking they have amassed well over 100 combined “Best Buys” with 90+ point scores. That was achieved with a dedicated team adhering to best practices and principles of winemaking.

Today they are a must-see destination, featuring a stunning tasting room. They now provide year-round entertainment and events on their 187-acre estate vineyard. As you might imagine this has created a destination for all wine lovers.

This is what the winemaker has to say about their Waterbrook Winery Malbec:

“Blackberry blossom and forest floor aromatics introduce a wine bursting with black cherry and dark plum flavors. Very soft and silky tannins combine with bright acids and a perceived sweetness resulting in a balanced and food-friendly wine. This Malbec finishes with currant, hints of vanilla and a slight smokiness.”

You can find this wine on their website, wine.com, or many good wine purveyors. Just ask about it when you’re in the market for a very nice wine.

Every time I see this Waterbrook Winery Malbec or any of their wines, it throws me back in time to that one glorious dinner with an amazing group of people. As I said before, I can still remember my very first taste and how I went in search of those wines the very next day. Many of the Waterbrook wines are still my favorites to this day.

Time for a glass…
