This Columbia Crest Two Vines Cabernet Sauvignon is a lovely tasting, nicely priced wine. It was an exceptionally good wine when I recently needed a serious attitude adjustment on a certain weekday night … just saying. 🙂
Columbia Crest Two Vines Cabernet
Columbia Crest Winery, established in 1982, is located in the Columbia Valley Wine Region in Washington State. This area of Washington state is the perfect grape-growing location with the right weather and soil for planting vineyards. These factors allowed Columbia Crest to create the high-quality wines they desired with varietals that are true to the character of the terroir (soil and ecology). It’s a gem of an area, well worth a trip.
Columbia Crest Winery’s first red and white wines were released in 1987 and 1988. With much dedication to their craft, and by maintaining their commitment to quality in grape growing and winemaking, they have received much-deserved recognition for the wine they produce. One such recognition was in 2010 from Wine & Spirits Magazine where Columbia Crest Winery was named one of “American Wineries of the Year.”
This is what the winemaker has to say about this Columbia Crest Two Vines Cabernet Sauvignon:
“Strawberry, cherry and cola aromas and flavors harmoniously flow into the silky and soft palate that culminates into a long velvety finish. With spicy cola scents over black-plum fruitiness, this sleek red has a dusty, savory set of flavors and a rich, chocolatey finish.”
The Winery:
From vineyard to crush, the Two Vines designation speaks to our method of vine trellising which positions grape clusters for optimum sun exposure, resulting in approachable wines with richer flavor, brighter color and an expression of fruit that’s perfect for any day enjoyment.
You can find this wine on their website, wine.com, bevmo.com, totalwine.com and at many wine stores or shops. So go stock up for the holidays, celebrations or whatever else that moves you.
