It was one of those times when I just needed a good glass of wine to end the day. Enter Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio. I do find a good Pinot Grigio to be very refreshing, and this one is just that.
If you’ve ever been to the Napa Valley Wine Region, then you know about the Silverado Trail. It’s often called the road less traveled. But it is so worth the time to do so. The Silverado Trail is a beautiful drive and a fitting location for any winery. That’s where you’ll find Luna Vineyards. One of the many stops to make on this gorgeous drive is the Luna Vineyard’s lovely Tuscan Tasting room.
Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio
Luna Vineyards began in 1995. It all started when the founders fell in love with the location where they now exist. After buying the land, they started with the Pinot Grigio grape varietal. They have since progressed into a winery and vineyard of note, critically acclaimed for many of their current offerings.
With a deep appreciation for the land that yields their wine, Luna Vineyards maintains sustainable farming practices that allow the diverse ecosystem to continue to thrive. In addition to their Pinot Grigio, they now offer a variety of labels and vintages – both red and white alike.
This is what the winemaker has to say about their Luna Vineyards Pinot Grigio.
“Fresh aromas of honey, lemon curd, and citrus blossom greet the nose. Bright grapefruit on the palate, our Pinot Grigio has a refreshingly brisk citrus, lively texture, and good balance. With the dominance of citrus zest and a steely edge, this wine finishes with a juicy acidity and bright, long finish.”
You can find this wine at bevmo.com, wine.com, totalwine.com and just about any good wine purveyor.
One of the great joys I have is the fact that we can hop in our car at any given time and visit some fantastic places such as the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley. We never take that for granted. Because of that I have the opportunity to showcase some fun wines I find along the way, like this Luna Pinot Grigio. Enjoy.
Time for a glass…
