When it’s St. Patrick’s Day and I think of my friends both near and far. That brings me to an Irish Blessing.
Yes, it’s that time again when we start to think of all things Irish – shamrocks, rainbows and pots of gold. I have so many memories of my years as a first-grade teacher many years ago. These memories ranged from the required wearing of something green on that official day to the making of shamrocks, tons of pictures of rainbows, leprechauns and many pots of gold. Then there were the consequences if you didn’t wear green on that special day with all the pinches you would endure.
There is so much more I could say. Instead, I’d like to put it in some of my images that many of you enjoy.
My Irish Blessing For My Friends
Wishing you a rainbow,
For sunlight after showers,
Miles and miles of Irish smiles,
For golden happy hours,
Shamrocks at your doorway,
For luck and laughter too.
A host of friends that never ends,
With much cheer and laughter too,
for each day, your whole life through!
When St. Patrick’s Day arrives, whether you’re Irish or not, will you be decked out in green? Will you partake in the festivities that are sure to abound? Will you drink green beer and eat Irish stew?
Regardless of where you are and what you do, here are the thoughts I’ll be sending your way, my Irish blessing for my friends. May your days be filled with wonder. May happiness find your door. May you find peace and joy in all things. Last but not least, may the luck of the Irish be with you! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all my dear friends and readers, both near and far.
Life’s journey continues…
