Who doesn’t love chocolate? Add a bit of liqueur, some coffee, and you have a cocktail that will make you swoon. If you are a chocolate lover, that is what this White Chocolate Mocha Cocktail will do. It is downright addictive.
So how do you make this White Chocolate Mocha Cocktail? That’s the easy part, stopping you from making a batch and not sharing it with others is another matter altogether… LOL.
Drumroll, please…
White Chocolate Mocha Cocktail
Ingredients: Makes 2 servings (or one large serving, depending on your pleasure).
- 2 shots vanilla vodka
- 2 shots white chocolate liqueur
- 1/2 shot chocolate liqueur
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- Coffee ice cubes – sweetened or unsweetened
- Garnish: Shaved chocolate
Directions:
Prepare a double strength or extra strong coffee of your choice. If desired, sweeten the coffee to taste. Pour the coffee into an ice cube tray and freeze. When the coffee ice cubes are frozen, remove and store in a freezer bag until you’re ready to add the ice cubes to the White Chocolate Mocha Cocktail.
To make the cocktail, measure and pour liqueurs, vodka and cream into a cocktail shaker or measuring cup. Shake or stir until everything is combined and pour into a highball glass or clear glass mug. Add a coffee ice cube or two and garnish with shaved chocolate. Serve immediately with a small piece of chocolate on the side.
Notes: I use Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur in this cocktail recipe, a good quality flavored dark chocolate liqueur and a good quality vanilla vodka for this recipe. The sweetness of the coffee ice cubes is a matter of choice. I prefer them unsweetened or moderately sweet. The kind of shaved chocolate for the garnish, dark or milk, is also up to you. If you prefer not to add the coffee ice cubes, that’s fine. It will still taste amazingly good. For me, I like the added note of the coffee in the cocktail.
Variations: For a non-alcoholic cocktail, I use 6 oz. Vanilla Almond milk with 1 oz. of chocolate syrup in the place of the vodka and liqueurs. With this version, I suggest sweetened coffee ice cubes.
What do you think? Will you give this a try? If you do, I warn you it may be a bit, or a lot, addictive. So have a few friends around to help share in your White Chocolate Mocha Cocktail experience… Yum.
