We have a great deal of company coming this summer at different points in time. When that happens, I look for super easy recipes that anyone would love. This allows me time to enjoy my guests and not be tied to the kitchen as much. I’ll use some of my tried and true recipes such as this Nutella Panini recipe. So I resurrected this recipe post from the past.
Who doesn’t like chocolate, especially for breakfast? My Nutella Panini recipe will start the morning off right with big smiles and much laughter. The best part is it couldn’t be any simpler and your friends and family will love it.
Nutella Panini
Ingredients: (4 servings)
- 8 large slices of really good white bread (or 16 slices if the bread loaf is small)
- Nutella
- Confectioners sugar
- Butter
Directions:
Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread. Spread the desired amount of Nutella on one slice of bread on the side without butter and top with the other slice, making a sandwich with the buttered sides facing outward. Place the sandwiches in a heated Panini Press. Toast the sandwiches until the bread is medium brown or to the desired doneness. Cut the sandwich in half, place one or two small sandwiches on a pretty plate and dust lightly with confectioner’s sugar.
Notes: The bread I prefer to use is a good rustic white bread such as Pugliese, Baguette or country French. Watch not to spread too much Nutella on the bread or it will ooze out more than you would like. If you use a frying pan, make sure it is on medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the pan turning to toast on both sides. Take your time to make sure you’ve heated the sandwiches through.
Now, that is an awesome breakfast. This recipe is so easy the kids can make it. I’ve made this when my family was visiting, and they LOVED it. I often serve this Nutella Panini with a Berry Smoothy or berries on the side. Add coffee or a good tea and you are good to go. Enjoy.
