La Crema Pinot Noir: #Wine

by Susan P. Cooper · on May 18, 2014 · 20

I pulled this La Crema Pinot Noir from my wine chiller to accompany our dinner on the patio.  It is one of my favorites for a reason.  It’s a Pinot Noir well worth the price.

La Crema Pinot Noir

La Crema Pinot Noir, findingourwaynow.comAs I mentioned in a prior post, La Crema, this is one of my favorite vineyards and wines.  La Crema is a family owned winery, establish in 1979, producing wine for over 30 years in the Sonoma and Mendocino wine regions. These areas are considered to be one of the finest wine-growing regions anywhere in the world for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.  La Crema vintners pride themselves on the fact that they create their incredible wine, one barrel at a time, offering an excellent balance of flavors and fruit intensity in each bottle. They are true artisans in the wine making process.

The La Crema winery itself is not open to the public. However, you can find their tasting room a short distance from the Healdsburg, California Town Square.

Healdsburg is in the California Sonoma Wine Country, ideally located where the Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Valley wine-growing regions meet. It’s surrounded by gently rolling hills and vineyards. It is an enchanting village that will win your heart when you first arrive.  It is a down to earth place that offers relaxed sophistication with charming bed & breakfasts, eclectic shopping, and some amazing cuisine. All while tasting some the best wines the area has to offer.  It is a place that entices you to relax and stay awhile.

This is what the vintner had to say about this scrumptious La Crema Pinot Noir.

“Distinctive, elegant and handcrafted, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum marrying with cocoa, anise and a hint of fresh mint. Intense fruit flavors of raspberry and blackberry layer with exotic spice. Rich tannins in the mid-palate and a long, sensuous finish. One that will become a tradition with any celebration meal.”

La Crema Pinot Noir is available in Cost Plus/World Market, wine.com, amazon.com, totalwine.com, bevmo.com or any good wine purveyor.

So if you have a moment and are looking for something a little special, La Crema Pinot Noir will fit the bill nicely.  In fact, get a couple of bottles.  I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Time for a glass…
