Well, it was my birthday, not very long ago. So I was tasked to go in search of something I would enjoy and share on my special day. I selected a few to try, one them was Domaine ste Michelle Brut.
Domaine ste Michelle Brut
For the price, Domaine ste Michelle Brut from Chateau Ste Michelle is a very nice sparkling wine for any special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or holiday. All I can say is Yum. We did a taste testing of a few inexpensive sparkling wines, and this is the wine everyone liked the best.
When I went in search of information, I found that they had totally revamped their website and their label. I love it.
The winery, Chateau Ste Michelle founded in 1934, is in Washington State in the Columbia Valley wine region. It is a beautiful area and well worth a visit. Chateau Ste Michelle is the oldest winery in the State of Washington known for its highly acclaimed wines. Their gorgeous chateau is located 15 miles northeast of Seattle on beautiful wooded acres that surround the estate. The winery is noted for being an excellent place for a romantic picnic. To make it an even more enticing place, Chateau Ste Michelle provides a great performing arts series in the summer months. What more would we need to entice us to get in a car or on a plane to go visit this fabulous location?
This is what the winemaker has to say about this Domaine ste Michelle Brut:
“Sparkling wine is a wonderful yet often overlooked accompaniment to food. Bright acidity and effervescence cleanses the palate, while the delicate flavors compliment a wide array of dishes. Brut pairs very well with Japanese cuisine, my favorite is with sashimi. Sip with bagels and lox for a relaxing weekend brunch. Style – Not too dry or sweet.
- Aromas – Apple and citrus
- Flavors – Citrus with a light toasty finish
- Pair with – Spicy fries, artichoke or cheese dips, calamari and salty snacks.”
Time for a glass…
