Pretzel Pecan Candy Treats: Recipe

by Susan P. Cooper · on Jul 11, 2013 · 40

I have a very good friend who had mentioned this Pretzel Pecan Candy Treats recipe to me in passing.  It very much intrigued me so I decided to give it a try.  These Pretzel Pecan Candy Treats were delightful and so much fun to make with one of my friends.  The recipe is from Hershey’s Kitchens.  It took no time to make and less time to eat… LOL.

I have since used these Pretzel Pecan Candy Treats as a hostess gift when I needed something fun, lovely and attractive for my most recent family gatherings.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or Silpat.  Place one pretzel for each pretzel treat desired on the prepared baking sheet. Top each pretzel with a ROLO candy. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until chocolate caramel piece just begins to soften, but not melted. Remove from the oven and top with each a pecan half, pressing gently into the softened ROLO candy. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Notes:  Be careful not to over-melt or over cook the pretzel and candy.  You may also use other types of nuts in place of the pecans such as almonds or walnuts on the top.
