Crunchy Garbanzo Bean Appetizer: Recipe

by Susan P. Cooper · on Jan 10, 2013 · 40

Have you ever gone in search of an easy, healthy snack you can serve quickly when friends show up unexpectedly? I think we all have. This crunchy garbanzo bean appetizer recipe comes in handy for that or just to have when popcorn just won’t do. The flavors of this crunchy garbanzo bean appetizer are divine, and I love the crunch.

So without further ado, here is this crunchy garbanzo bean appetizer recipe.

Crunchy Garbanzo Bean Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • 1-12 ounce can Garbanzo Beans (drained)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: Garlic salt or Cayenne pepper

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.  Drained and blot Garbanzo beans with paper towels to dry off excess moisture.  In a bowl, toss beans, olive oil, a little salt and seasoning until coated.  Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until toasted.  Watch the last few minutes of cooking to avoid burning.  Serve in a cute bowl, and if desired sprinkle a little more salt on them.

Note:  Different seasonings will change the flavor. I prefer them with just salt or garlic salt. Many of my friends love them with Cayenne pepper. Whatever seasoning you use just have fun with it.

Isn’t that great?  It’s just too easy to believe. You must give this crunchy garbanzo bean appetizer a try. This appetizer or snack is particularly good with a nice, cold beer. The hardest part of this appetizer/snack is keeping them from disappearing too fast.  I usually find it’s good to make a few batches to satisfy everyones appetite. Enjoy.
