Family visits are always fun. On this one occasion, we were having dinner hosted by my husband’s brother and prepared by his wife. She was making an entree she loves, salmon on a cedar plank. As she was taking a break, she popped the cork on a Cline Cellars Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast. It was […]
Very recently, we spent a day in St. Helena, California located in the heart of the Napa Valley Wine Region. While walking the streets of this charming town, we happened on the Thorn Hill Vineyards Tasting Room. Tasting a bit of their wine was in order. One of the wines in the flight we tasted was their Sonoma […]
It was an evening that was well overdue. We had finally scheduled dinner with our friends. We made it a point of going to a new restaurant neither of us had experienced before. It was an adventure. In making our wine selection we settled on a new wine called Cloudline Cellars Pinot Noir. When the […]
I love finding good quality local wineries and their wines. A friend and wine buyer recommended I try a bottle or two of LangeTwins Winery and Vineyards Estate Grown Pinot Noir. I’ve always been a fan of a good Pinot Noir. My friend’s recommendation was very much appreciated. Once I tried it, I agreed, it was indeed a very […]
I’ve written about this wine before, but I just had to revisit it. We were out to dinner with friends. The server recommended a Mark West Pinot Noir, and again I found it to be a delight. As you would expect, this wine went well with the entrees. Again I went in search for this […]
I have come to the conclusion that wine discoveries will truly never end. That thought was what popped into my mind when I was offered this Pinot Noir by Sean Minor. That’s a pretty cool thing for us wine lovers, don’t you think? In a conversation with a vintner friend of mine where we were discussing that very point, he finally laughed and said, “No wine ever gets thrown away. It just gets down to what you like.”
I love it when I’m introduced to a new wine such as this Acacia Vineyard Pinot Noir Carneros 12. With all the different wineries that abound, it’s really hard to know them all. Regardless, it’s always fun when I find a great wine through another wine loving friend. Again, Acacia Vineyard is a Northern California wine. Acacia Vineyard, established in 1979, is located in the Napa Valley wine region.
It has been a hectic time of late for me as I’m sure it has been for others as well. So it was a happy surprise when I received this Robert Mondavi Winery trio of wines. The package included a bottle of their Pinot Noir, Fumé Blanc, and a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon. What more would you ever need for a celebration for the upcoming holidays?
I found myself in Cost Plus World Market looking for some spices for a recipe I wanted to try. Of course, I couldn’t help but wander through the wine section. I met a wine buyer who was very excited and couldn’t wait to tell me about a great, inexpensive Pinot Noir. She was almost giddy. […]
