On the 1st Day From My Kitchen, I give to you, my Rustic Apple Pear Tart Recipe. This is the time of year when we see some great apples and pears. Not far from where we live there is an apple festival called “Apple Hill” that goes from just after Labor Day to the end of December. As the name implies, it’s all about apples and the fall harvest. That is one of the many reasons I enjoy fall so much.
After all the candy and Halloween celebrations, I thought it would be a good idea to do a simple fruit recipe that is fun to make and a bit healthier, not to mention lower in calories for us then Halloween candy… just saying. 🙂 Pears are pretty plentiful right now, so a pear recipe seemed to be just the right thing to do. Now lets get on to the recipe.

My favorite cookie is peanut butter. So when I saw this recipe my first thought was “No Way”. I had to try them and dang it if they weren’t the best ever. The best part is that they couldn’t be any easier. I found this recipe in a tiny little cookbook called “Our Favorite Quick & Easy Recipes from Gooseberry Patch”. There was no tweaking this one. How could I?
Kids will love making these. All you need is milk, and you are good to go.
