I drink milk every day. I use it with my homemade granola in the morning for a quick breakfast. The problem is I never finish the half-gallon of milk before it goes bad and I wind up throwing it away. I decided that the solution might be to use powdered milk instead. That way I can make what I need and not waste so much milk. Don’t you think that sounds like it would work? Well, it did, but I just didn’t like the way the milk tasted. So I experimented and found a way to make it taste the way I like, and it almost tastes like the milk I buy at the store.
One of my favorite meals is this simple three cheese lasagna. I would rarely make it because of the time it would take, even when the results were fantastic. Then I happened upon this simple three cheese lasagna recipe in Everyday Food from Martha Stewart. As I always do, I made some changes and was able […]

So one thing lead to another and here we are sharing recipes on each others site. You can see the “Mini Creme Brûlée Pies Recipe” I shared on Sarah’s site called Sarah: Simply Me.
Figs are now in season. When I buy figs to eat or for a recipe, I purchase much more than I can eat. That is particularly the case when I buy figs from a store like Costco. When that happens, I find other ways to preserve them. This time, I purposefully purchased a larger quantity […]
I am always in search of a fast and easy starter for a meal. So, what else is new … huh. One that I can serve when we have guests over or one that I can throw together and have on the spur of the moment, just for fun. This Baked Brie Cheese with Honey […]
