Lemon Sorbet: #Recipe
I have a thing for anything lemon – lemon cookies, lemon tarts and lemon sorbet. With the holidays on us ladened for rich gooey delights, I thought it would be fun to offer something a bit lighter.

I did a taste test of various inexpensive sparkling wines, one happened to be this Domaine ste Michelle Brut. All I can say is Yum. For the price, Sparking Wine from Chateau Ste Michelle is a very nice sparkling wine for any special occasion like a birthday, anniversary or holiday.
This is the time of year we consider our blessings, one of my many blessings is my friendship with Jeannette Paladino @Write Speak Sell. She has a delightful story to share with you called “Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree.” Take it away Jeannette.
Croft Tawny Port is a nicely priced and delightful tawny port wine. Fall and the many holidays are a great time to bring out a good port wine. It warms the evening with that wonderful nutty flavour and goes especially well with a nice fire in the fireplace and some blue cheese, walnuts and honey on a crostini.
Aw, Amish Bread Pudding. What’s there not to like about this recipe from Glynis Jolly @Speculations Impressed, and just in time for all our family gatherings and celebrations. So here’s Glynis and her Amish Bread Pudding. Christmas is just one week away. If you’re like me, you’re probably expecting pies as the desserts for the feast meal. That’s the way it was when I was a kid, one pumpkin, one cherry and one mincemeat.
Don’t you hate those able-bodied people who just don’t know how to, or won’t, get out of the way? I call them grocery store aisle hogs. Not too long ago I found myself playing bumper carts at a big-box membership grocery store…
It has been a hectic time of late for me as I’m sure it has been for others as well. So it was a happy surprise when I received this Robert Mondavi Winery trio of wines. The package included a bottle of their Pinot Noir, Fumé Blanc, and a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon. What more would you ever need for a celebration for the upcoming holidays?
Barkies are one of my family’s favorite Christmas cookies. In fact, according to my mother, Sharon, we have been making them every year for 40+ years. Part of the reason we only make these at Christmastime is that almond bark is very difficult to find in many places except during the holidays. So if you are going to give them a try, you might want to do so soon!
Gosh, I have so enjoyed Patricia’s past articles, haven’t you? That said, her new “5 Reasons Winters Are Like Baby Boomers” will be just as much fun to read. It’s been a total pleasure and honor to be one of several guest writers here on Susan’s blog. I’m both grateful for being asked to be here, and for the posts of the others, which filled my cup of blog reading to a degree beyond my expectations.
