I like garbonzo beans in certain things. I totally never thought of having them crunchy. I will have to try this 🙂

    • Hi Krystle, These are truly yummy. Let me know what you think when you try them. 🙂

These are the most ingenious snack ever!! My children love roasted garbanzo beans. My sister in law was visiting recently and she does not like garbanzo beans. I made these and they were gone in a heart beat. She loved them. You can change up the flavor to suit your tastes. I have used cayane pepper, garlic salt, garlic powder, etc.

    • Hi Elizabeth, They are so much fun to make AND to eat. It also helps that they’re healthy for you too. 🙂

  • Julie

Tis is such a good idea. I can use a healthier snack after the holidays LOL.

    • Hi Julie. They are that, and good to eat too. 🙂

    • Hi Cheryl, I think you would loves these. They’re so good AND easy to make too. 🙂

  • I love huumus, but have never at garbanzo beans by themselves. I think I will Pin this post and give it a try in the near future, mostly likely with cayenne pepper. Another simpler, and even quicker, snack would be edamame.

    • Hi Jeri. I love edamame. I think you will like these just as much. Enjoy! 🙂

  • I need to do this soon! I’ve done edamame before, but can’t remember if I’ve done chickpeas yet. I LOVE crunchy, salty snacks though, so this would be great!

    • Hi Michelle, You will love this if you are a fan of edamame. Let me know how you liked this recipe when you do. 🙂

  • These sound tasty! I wonder if my daughter would eat them. Well, there is a way to find out…

    • Hi Leora, The crunchy salty taste is what kids usually love about this recipe. I hope she enjoys it, let me know. 🙂

  • That is a great recipe. I use the same beans to make side dish for rice. Adding a few ingredients and it will be ready in few minutes. Never tried it baked.

    • Hi Bindu, You should give this a try. I believe you would love it. 🙂

  • Ashley Travers

These look great – I’ve never thought of having them baked I will have to give this recipe a try!

  • Susan…this looks like a very yummy & healthy snack. I will have to give it a whirl. I would suggest that people use “Real Salt” or “Himalayan Sea Salt” and then it will really be healthy. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

    • Hi Martin, It funny you should say that because that is the kind of salt I use… seriously!!! 🙂

  • Bethany Lee

Susan, this sounds way too simple and delicious!! I love garbanzo beans. I am trying these this weekend–this is a great protein snack. 🙂 And as a vegetarian, I like to make sure I get my protein.

    • Hi Bethany, When I posted this iw as thinking of you. You will have fun with this recipe, not to mention how good it is. Let me know how it went when you do. 🙂

I tried pinning this picture, but the only option I get is to pin your header. Is it ok to pin it? Or, do you know how to make the picture pinnable? Now that your photos are getting to be so stunning, you should think about making them pinnable.

    • Hi Bethany, Absolutely. The best way to pin it is from your desktop pin button not the blog one. It needs some adjustment. That how I do it now until I fix it. 🙂

  • Liz

yummy! Good snack or in my case, meal! lol

    • Hi Liz, Yep, I agree with both statements… LOL, Hug my friend. 🙂

  • Edward Reid

Real simple recipe. This one seems pretty easy and also you can make the snack what you want (taste). Thanks Susan, I must give it a try.

    • Hi Edward, That’s cool. Have fun with this and enjoy. 🙂

  • Jon Jefferson

Simple bar food, some of the best stuff you can have on hand.

  • Adrienne Jones

That sounds good. Seems like it would taste kind of peanuty.

    • Hi Adrienne, It does. But it so much less in calories, a real plus. 🙂

  • Megan Broutian

Oooh, ooh, I’ve seen this done before with some cumen – tasted hummus-y. I’ll have to try it with just garlic salt. Great post, Susan!

  • Sounds delicious! Because I’m half vegetarian I eat a lot of beans. You just provided me with a new way of eating beans. Could do the same thing with black eyed peas, for instance.

  • Elizabeth Scott

I can not comment enough on how wonderfully crunchy this snack it. I love topping these little gems on my salad.
